Food. Yum. Japan has plenty of it.

Japanese food usually consists of rice with a side dish of miso soup, pickled vegetables, and vegetables cooked in broth. You will also see a lot of grilled fish, but it may also be served raw as sashimi or in sushi.

You might also come across deep-fried vegies or seafood in a light batter as tempura.

Japanese people also like their noodles, such as soba and udon.

You have endless options to chose from!

One of the coolest things about Japanese restaurants is that they usually have replica food sitting in the shop window.  This is great because it gives you an idea of what you can order at that particular restaurant. Having a visual replica of the food also gives you an idea of what the food looks like when served and an indication of portion size.
